Our Staff Rick Trawick is Publisher and Technical Editor of Cars & Places Magazine. Rick has recently started publishing automotive articles after a 26-year career as a mechanical engineer. His love of cars and all things automotive began at an early age. Starting with plastic models, then electric slot cars, his eventual ownership of over 50 different automobiles began with a 1960 Rambler American he received for his 14th birthday. Rick launched a British sports car restoration business while in college. He has been restoring classic cars ever since. His extensive automotive knowledge and outgoing personality have made him the on-call resident “car nut” for family and friends. He has sold cars part-time in order to gain experience and knowledge about the sales end of the business. Rick draws on this familiarity to create articles that appeal to the novice and “gearhead” alike. Rick is the 2nd Vice President of the Washington Automotive Press Association as well as several automotive enthusiasts’ organizations. rtrawick@carsandplaces.com Susan Smith is our Calendar Editor and Correspondent for the Southeast. Susan loves cars and especially her Nissan Frontier pickup! If you would like your automotive event promoted on our calendar pages, be sure to get the info to Susan. You may contact her at susan@carsandplaces.com
